Texas GOP Representative Brian Babin is calling on Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his entire legal team to testify before Congress with regard to the ongoing scope and costs associated with the Trump/Russia probe. Rep. Babin has already drafted the letter to Senator Chuck Grassley(R-IA), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, as well as Representative Bob Goodlatte(R-VA), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee in efforts to seek a public and open hearing. Babin is currently seeking out additional signatures in order to strengthen the demand.

On Wednesday, August 16, 2017 the Daily Caller reported one of Mueller’s investigators, Peter Strzok, was removed from the investigation for reasons unknown to the public at this time. Peter Strzok used to be Chief of Counterespionage for the FBI and had interviewed Hillary Clinton in her email server investigation, however Strzok is now working in the FBI human resources department with what seems like a demotion from his duties prior to joining the Special Counsel.

As CNN reported in July, Peter Strzok was a key figure in initiating the Trump/Russia Probe just as the Hillary Clinton email server investigation wrapped up for the first time in July of 2016.

The current list of investigators that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has on staff is strife with conflicts that run counter to an objective investigation. The timing to move Strzok is rather alarming given the breaking news of calls for the Special Counsel to possibly testify before both House and Senate Judiciary Committees.

Though Peter Strzok did oversee the Hillary Clinton e-mail investigation, it appears there are no reports of him making donations to any of her campaigns nor her colleagues’ campaign efforts; a stark contrast from half of the remining 14 investigators on the Special Counsel’s team.
