The story of Harvey Weinstein has captivated the headlines for days now. Many wondering when the Democratic legislators Harvey Weinstein supported will denounce and return his money, others wondering how many more victims will come out of the shadows. Harvey Weinstein has since left the country for “sex rehab” in Europe, reported by TMZ, as numerous women start accusing the progressive-liberal movie mogul of rape. One can only wonder if Harvey Weinstein will follow in the footsteps of Roman Polanski and attempt to evade any possible litigation stemming from his decades long “secret.”

Weinstein leaving the country comes on the heels of Georgina Chapman, Weinstein’s wife of 10 years, announcing that she is leaving Weinstein as a result of the sexual misconduct allegations.

Roman Polanski was charged with sex crimes in 1977. Polanski was due to be formally sentenced in February of 1978 however, he fled the United States for France. Since fleeing the U.S., he has always traveled to countries that do not have extradition agreements with the United States. Hollywood honored the convicted rapist with an Oscar in 2003 for the “Pianist.” Even though Roman Polanski was absent, he received a standing ovation by an audience of Hollywood elites.

Update:

According to TMZ, Harvey Weinstein has abruptly changed his plans to leave the country. It is now reported that Harvey Weinstein will seek sex addiction treatment in Wickenburg, Arizona. The reasoning behind Weinstein’s sudden change in plans remains unclear at the moment and is sure to spark much speculation.
