Rose McGowan was suspended from Twitter on Wednesday following numerous tweets regarding the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault story. Rose McGowan shared the message from Twitter detailing her account suspension: “We have determined this account violated the Twitter rules, so we’ve temporarily limited some of your account features.”
McGowan’s account suspension came about only after she started outing other actors for helping “cover up” the decades long scandal regarding Harvey Weinstein.
Actor Ben Affleck posted a message condemning Harvey Weinstein, stating that the accusations made him “sick” and “I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen to others.”
After seeing Ben Affleck’s statement, Rose McGowan felt the need to retort: “’GODDAMNIT! I TOLD HIM TO STOP DOING THAT’ you said to my face. The press conf I was made to go to after assault. You lie.”
Hilarie Burton decided to add more coals to the fire by posting a video that aired on MTV’s TRL showing Ben Affleck groping her breast. Realizing the video contradicted his statement on Weinstein, Ben Affleck went on to issue his own apology for his past behavior.
As more sexual assault claims about Harvey Weinstein emerge, other actors that have experienced sexual assault and or harassment within Hollywood are making their voices heard. James Van Der Beek and Terry Crews have both come forward claiming to have been victims of sexual harassment while working in Hollywood as well.
It appears that Hollywood has a problem liberal America has been accusing college campuses of for years now; rape culture. With all the comments about Harvey Weinstein and the rumors swirling around Hollywood, many would think true liberals would have spoken up against the atrocities being fomented within Hollywood. But as the events unfolding around Harvey Weinstein have proven; as long as you are writing the checks to Democrats and giving vocal support to the liberal agenda, you have a free reign over anyone beneath you.
As of Thursday, October 12, McGowan’s Twitter account has been unlocked and she is free to tweet again. Twitter claimed the account was locked due to a personal phone number being included on one of her tweets, which violates the company’s terms of service. A spokeswoman on behalf of Twitter stated the tweet has been removed and McGowan’s Twitter account is active again.
