Scream 6 will bring back four survivors from the 2022 film.

Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Melissa Barrera return as survivors from the 2022 sequel Scream 6. Scream, the fifth edition in the series, brought the classic slasher franchise back to life earlier this year, with a new Ghostface hunting a group of kids with ties to the original Woodsboro killings. With the body count rising, the friends must enlist the help of franchise veterans Sidney Prescott, Dewey Riley, and Gale Weathers to put an end to the atrocities.

In Scream, Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox reprised their roles as Sidney, Dewey, and Gale, alongside Roger L. Jackson as Ghostface’s voice and Marley Shelton as Woodsboro Sheriff Judy Hicks, while Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jack Quaid, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Kyle Gallner made their first appearances in the franchise. The film, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Ready or Not, earned mostly excellent reviews from critics and audiences for capturing Wes Craven’s satirical voice, violent deaths, and stellar performances from its ensemble. With Scream being a box office success, generating more than $140 million on a $24 million budget, Paramount is going forward with Scream 6, and new details are emerging for the sequel.

With production about to begin, Deadline reports that Scream 6 has begun assembling its cast, with four survivors from the 2022 film returning. Melissa Barrera will reprise her role as Sam with Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Jenna Ortega as Mindy, Chad, and Tara. Scream 6 will begin filming this summer and will be released in March 2023.
