Despite the fact that One Direction is on permanent vacation, Harry Styles told fans that he and his former bandmates have “a really deep love” for one another.
The Grammy winner pondered on his beginnings in music while speaking with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe about his next album, “Harry’s House.”
He said of their shared experience in the spotlight as teenagers, “I feel incredibly lucky that we always had one other.”
They functioned as a “unit that felt like you could hold each other in check and just have someone else who gets it,” he explained.
“I think there is very much a respect between all of us… and it is something that you can’t really undo,” Styles stated, describing his time with 1D as “priceless.”
The “As It Was” singer went on to say that he and his former bandmates still share “a really profound love” for one another.
Styles’ new album, “Harry’s House,” will be released on Friday. “This is my favourite record right now, and I adore it,” he exclaimed.
When it comes to releasing new music, he says he’s “the most relaxed he’s ever felt,” adding, “I no longer feel that my total pleasure is contingent on whether a song goes here or goes here.”
Setting appropriate boundaries and realising that his profession does not define him, but rather the other way around, is part of his relaxation. Because of the epidemic, Styles was unable to promote his sophomore record, “Fine Line,” which was part of his epiphany.
He added, “It was somehow more powerful for me because I just got to watch it do its thing.” “I’d finished this album by the time we went on tour, so I got to play those songs knowing what was coming next.”
